We definitely fell under Slovenia’s charm. We’ve visited three different times, making it the country we’ve spent the most time exploring in Europe outside of Italy.
Our first trip focused mostly on Ljubljana and the fairy-tale setting of Lake Bled, but later visits showed us just how much more Slovenia has to offer. Much of the country’s natural beauty is found in and around Triglav National Park, including places such as Lake Bohinj, Kranjska Gora, the Vršic Pass, and Vintgar Gorge, while other memorable day trips include the Škocjan and Postojna caves and Velika Planina.
