Arizona is one of the most diverse road trip destinations in the American Southwest, with a mix of red rock landscapes, desert viewpoints, iconic landmarks, and some of the most memorable scenery in the region. While the Grand Canyon may be the state’s most famous attraction, we found that Arizona has so much more to offer, and some of our favorite areas ended up being places like Sedona, Page, and Monument Valley. Many of Arizona’s best destinations also pair naturally with a longer road trip through Utah and its Mighty Five national parks, making this region one of the most rewarding parts of the Southwest to explore by car.
